How to Schedule a Paint Party with Honestly Awkward
Thinking about hosting a paint party but not sure where to start?
Good news: scheduling a paint party with Honestly Awkward is pretty simple. You don’t need to have every little detail figured out before you reach out. In fact, getting started is as easy as sending me an email!
Whether you're planning a girls' night, birthday celebration, work event, family gathering, fundraiser, or a creative night at your local business, here’s what you need to know.
Step 1: Send Me an Email
The first step is to email hello@honestlyawkward.com.
When you email, send me a few basic details about the party you're imagining. This helps me check my calendar and figure out what will work best for your group.
Please include:
- Three possible dates you have in mind for your paint party
- Approximately how many painters you expect OR how many people your location can accommodate
- What time you would like the party to start
- Whether you are planning a private event or hosting the party at a local business
- If you're a business, whether you would like to include anything additional with each ticket, such as a free coffee, drink, meal, dessert, or another special offer
That's it! You don't need to have a painting picked out yet or know exactly how many people will attend.
Step 2: We'll Find a Date
Providing three possible dates gives us a much better chance of finding something that works.
Paint party dates—especially evenings and weekends—can fill up quickly during busy seasons. Giving me a few options means I can look at my calendar and let you know which dates are available.
Once we've found a date that works, we can start working out the fun details!
Step 3: Pick Your Painting
Now for one of the best parts: deciding what you want to paint!
Hosts can look through the Honestly Awkward Digital Look Book to see available painting options and choose one that fits their group, event, or season.
You don't need to choose your painting before contacting me. We can get the date figured out first and worry about the creative decisions afterward.
Private Paint Parties
For private events, there is a $50 non-refundable deposit required to reserve your date.
After that, the cost is $25 per painter.
The deposit officially puts your party on my calendar, and then we can move forward with planning your event.
Private parties are perfect when you already have a group of people you'd like to gather for a birthday, girls' night, family event, church group, staff get-together, or simply a fun night of painting together.
Paint Parties at Local Businesses
Own or manage a local business and think a paint party would be a fun way to bring people through your doors? I'd love to work with you!
There is no deposit required to schedule a paint party at a local business.
When you email, let me know approximately how many painters your space can accommodate along with your three possible dates and preferred start time.
You can also choose to make your event ticket include something from your business. For example, maybe you'd like every paint party ticket to include a free coffee, specialty drink, meal, dessert, or another item from your business.
If you'd like to bundle something with the paint party ticket, just include that information in your initial email so we can take it into consideration when setting up the event and determining the ticket price.
Not interested in bundling anything? That's completely fine, too! We can keep the ticket focused solely on the painting experience.
What Kinds of Events Can Be Paint Parties?
Honestly Awkward paint parties don't have to be reserved for one particular type of celebration.
They can be a fun option for:
- Girls' nights
- Birthday parties
- Family gatherings
- Church groups
- Staff or team events
- Clubs and organizations
- Community events
- Customer appreciation events
- Fundraisers
- Local business events
- Or simply an excuse to get your favorite people together and do something creative!
And don't worry if everyone in your group doesn't consider themselves "artistic." Paint parties are about having fun, trying something creative, and spending time together—not creating a perfect masterpiece.
